Effie's Story

Effie, or Euphemia is a Triceratops, an herbivorous dinosaur that could be found in western North America nearly 70 million years ago during the Late Cretaceous Period!Effie sits on a bench across from Heller Good Sandwiches waiting for her boyfriend Gus. You can spot Gus on the opposite bench across the street holding flowers for her. Take a selfie with her and then go pay Gus a visit!

Dinnie's Story

Dinnie is based on a Tyrannosaurus rex, a carnivorous dinosaur that roamed now western North America during the late Cretaceous period more than 70 million years ago.&nbsp;Dinnie was the first dinosaur sculpture to be installed in Drumheller. He was installed on Canada Day in 1960! You can spot Dinnie in Rotary Park across from Valley Ice Cream Shoppe. Grab yourself a cone and go say hello.

Curt's Story

Curt is a raptor or Velociraptor, a small feathered carnivorous dinosaur that lived in Asia during the Late Cretaceous period, more than 70 million years ago. Curt was named after Curt Blanchett, a local resident who for many years repaired the dinosaur sculptures found around Drumheller. Go snap a selfie with Curt on the bench outside of the Napier Theatre. Don't forgot to use the hash tag #dinoarts.

Arena's Story

Arenasaurus is based on a Brontosaurus, an herbivorous dinosaur that lived in now the United States during the Late Jurassic period, over 100 million years ago!Arenasaurus as his name suggests can be found at the Drumheller Memorial Arena, wearing the team colours of the Drumheller Dragons Junior Hockey team. You can catch a Dragons game, or enjoy public ice skating at Drumheller Memorial Arena.

Go Dragons! Arenasaurus is a huge Drumheller Dragons fan. Find this dino at the Drumheller Memorial Arena in the signature orange and grey Dragons colours.

Patty's Story

Parasaurolophus Patty, as her name suggests is a Parasaurolophus, an herbivorous hadrosaurid, or ‘duck-billed’ dinosaur that could be found in western North America in the Late Cretaceous period more than 70 million years ago! Patty was funded by the Rotary Club and placed at the Rotary Spray Park as a reminder to enjoy the sun safely. Patty also holds a donation box to help fund future Rotary projects.

Tyra's Story

Tyra, the biggest dinosaur sculpture in the world is a Tyrannosaurus rex, a carnivorous dinosaur that roamed now western North America during the late Cretaceous period more than 70 million years ago.&nbsp;While the Tyrannosaurus rex stood at around 4-6 metres tall, Tyra would tower over them at more than 4 times the height of a real T-rex. It’s not just Tyra’s scale that makes her so unique, but you can even get a breathtaking view of the badlands from her jaws! Climb the 100 steps to the top and take in the view. You can meet Tyra at the Drumheller Visitors Centre.

&nbsp;You can’t miss Tyra. At over 26 metres tall, she is the world’s tallest dinosaur! Go visit her at the Drumheller Visitor Centre.

If you’re having trouble finding the Visitor Information Centre, just look for Tyra the World’s Largest Dinosaur! The Visitor Information Centre will help any visitors to Drumheller find the best places to stay and things to see when visiting the area. Out front, climb the 106 stairs up the World’s Largest Dinosaur, and check out the Giftshop with merch and local goodies.

Pride's Story

The Pride Dino is based on a Triceratops, an herbivorous dinosaur that could be found in western North America nearly 70 million years ago during the Late Cretaceous Period!You can find the Pride Dino near Black Mountain Roasters, an artisan cafe and coffee roasters. This dinosaur is a Pride-themed sculpture, brightly painted in the signature rainbow colours. The Pride Dino is a celebration, and message of inclusivity in the community.

Eugene's Story

Eugene is an Anodontosaurus, a ground-dwelling herbivorous dinosaur from the late Cretaceous period, around 70 million years ago, found in southern Alberta. Eugene is a character from the locally-created children's book ‘Have You Seen My Human?’, a story that follows the reunion of Eugene and his lost human companion. You can see Eugene at the Rotary Spray Park, or purchase the storybook and your very own Eugene plush at the World’s Largest Dinosaur gift shop.

Gus' Story

Gus is a Brontosaurus, an herbivorous dinosaur that lived in now the United States during the Late Jurassic period, over 100 million years ago!Gus is the boyfriend of Effie, the Triceratops on the bench across the street! Gus is dressed up in a bowtie with a bouquet to bring to her on their date. Gus was named after the Corner Cafe owner. Corner Cafe was a staple in Drumheller for many years. Say hello to Gus before heading into Heller Good Sandwhiches for a fresh and delicious sandwich.
